Site Plan if building is located in a flood plain.

Uncomplicated Homes-Floor Plans with written details
and Elevations if available.

Larger Complicated Homes-Full Set of Plans w/details.
*NOTE: All plans for homes that are to be built on lots with questionable soil conditions
will have a designed footer and foundation and be stamped by a licensed architect or engineer.
Requirements Prior to Issuing Building
Permit
- Driveway Permit (obtained through the Roane Co. Highway Dept.).
- Septic Permit/Sewer Tap (obtained through the Roane Co. Health Dept.).
- Building Permit (obtained through the Roane Co. Zoning Office).
Inspections Required
- All footers prior to pouring.
- All foundation walls, prior to framing and/or pouring.
- All framing at completed dry-in.
- Final at completion of all parts of a project.
- A Certificate of Occupancy, prior to inhabiting the building.
*NOTE: Utility districts require an electrical inspection
by the local state inspector.
