Committee Reports

Dock:

Rick says there have been no changes concerning the dock since last month’s Board meeting.

P & M:

Meeting between Tom Hamby and Senator Yager and TN Emergency Management regarding funding for the S-Curve on Crystal Springs Rd was canceled again and rescheduled for Tuesday, November 15.  Some members attended the October 24 Roane County Road Commission meeting.  The Commissioners listened and understand the issues.  With the understanding that it might cost less to address the problem now rather than later, the County has no funds available. The Commissioners remain tentative about receiving funds from the state also.  Several areas of the state are still in emergency situations where funding would be a higher priority.  As Joe Moore transitions off the Board, Bob Capell and Keith Skubicz will continue to stay in touch with the officials.  Any one can contact Tom Hamby at 882-0782 or Ken Yager at 615-741-1449.

Update:  Senator Yager had a conflict, so the November 15 meeting was cancelled and will be rescheduled.

ACC:

Owner request for placement of a shed was approved.  The committee asked that the shed be painted in colors consistent with the house.

Old Business

Transition from current to new 2012 Board members is underway.  Budget is drafted and will be sent from the 2012 Board to POA members for vote in December.  Results will be announced at the January POA member meeting.  More information about 2012 Board and general POA meeting dates will be shared also in January.

Reminder about the Christmas gathering at the Whitestone Inn, December 7 at 6:00 p.m.  If you would like to attend dinner and concert, Belinda Wells requests your payment by November 21.

New Business

POA members in attendance at the meeting thanked the outgoing Board members for their service over the 2 years of their tenure.

Ways to increase POA revenues was raised by a POA member.  Generally, members supported seeking special donations for a specific need.  The Board stressed again the importance of the 2018 opportunity to update the CCPOA Covenants.  That effort will require planning, teamwork, and good communications.  Results will hopefully enable the organization to receive enough revenue to meet its expenses into the future.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Priscilla Bruno, President
